Sweetie's cutie mark is explained in my fanfic, 'Scion of Chaos', and the meaning behind Scootaloo's cutie mark is something that Scootaloo is still struggling to understand on her own in 'A Heart of Change'. If you feel like reading an children's adventure, you might want to give 'Scion of Chaos' a read. Many of my readers have quite enjoyed the story. But I can also understand if you wouldn't want to read a novel. It should suffice to say that there are sound reasons and context for the cutie marks to be the way they are.

I do have to agree that it's a lovely picture. I'm quite grateful that Tails was willing to commission this for my story as a birthday/Christmas present. It was a very flattering gesture.

Scootaloo's mark is a purple triangle with purple wings. She thought that it was supposed to represent her ability to fly, but at this point in the story she's has to wonder what it really represents. She's no longer as certain as she once was. Of course, if she's not certain on what the mark means to her, then who knows what it really represents? I know why I chose for it to be that way, and what it represents to me as the author, but I'm not about to give those reasons away since they will be explored further in the actual story.

Well, there's certainly a back-story to it, explained in the story 'Scion of Chaos'. Many people seem to think that it was worth the read. The mark does have a great deal of meaning to Sweetie as a character in the story, though it doesn't have any direct link with Cadence.

Scoots' triangle cutie mark is not a piece of the triforce... though that would be kind of cool...

Yes it was crossed over. We wrote a chapter together and it works as a chapter in both of our stories. It's the last chapter of the Fragments section of TSC. Cowriting it with Wanderer D was a blast
